Dental composite (ex-amalgam)

Small filling that repairs a tooth after a cavity or break.

Inlay

Small indirect restoration in ceramic composite or in gold, made by the dental technician, which enables to restore a damaged tooth.

Veneer

Replacement of the anterior surface of the tooth in order to change the color or the tooth shape, or even correct major defects.

Crown

Replacement of the tooth by a combined ceramic and zirconium structure in the event of severe caries or root treatment. The crown will cover the entire tooth and protect it.

Bridge

Fixed ceramic prothesis, sealed on the neighboring teeth. The bridge replaces one or more missing teeth. It is an alternative solution to dental implants. The bridge is fixed in the mouth and can no longer be removed.

Semi-removable prothesis

Alternative to bridge or implant placement. These resin chrome-cobalt protheses are retained by natural teeth or dental implants.

Total prothesis (dentures)

Dentures will replace the entire dentition.They rest on the gums and have no physical retention and therefore do not allow good chewing.

Endodontics (root canal treatment)

In case of significant decay and pain or fracture of a tooth, the nerve of the tooth must be removed in order to clean the infiltration of bacteria.

This treatment is usually performed with a rubber dam and a magnifying glass or microscope to prevent saliva and bacteria from entering the tooth.

The root is then filled with « Gutta Percha » and the weakend tooth is finally reconstructed with a post or a screw. If a lot of tooth structure has been lost, it is advisable to place a crown on the tooth.

Orthodontics

Treatment that allows adults as well as children to have perfectly aligned teeth. Metal or ceramic supports can be used. It is possible to place the brackets on the front of the teeth or behind.
A treatment with gutters or removable splints is also possible.

Bleaching

Over time, our teeth get discolored under the influence of tobacco, coffee, tea or red wine. We offer 2 solutions to have bright white teeth :

• A treatment in the office
• At home

White teeth are a sign of good health and neat appearance.
The dentist needs to take impressions of the teeth in order to make splints to whiten the teeth.

Intraoral camera instead of impression

No more annoying impressions, but a simple film or an immediate realization of the crown with our Cerec milling machine.

Wheeled unit BPR

With this wheeled unit, we can treat on site patients who cannot move. This unit is perfect for treatments in retirement homes, hospitals or schools.

Please take into account that the assembly and disinfection of the unit take half an hour and that the journey is included in the cost calculation (from 250 CHF on).

The anxious patient

Fear of the dentist may have many reasons : fear of pain, of medical disaster, fear of suffocation, shame, panic.

Dr Lanners was also an anxious patient because a dentist had removed a tooth from him without anesthesia when he was 6 years old.

He had the chance to study in Seattle and gained a lot of experience at the Dental Fears Clinic at the University of Washington.

From 1995-1997, he also trained at the SPOM in Paris in order to give the best possible treatment to anxious as well as phobic patients.

Dental Implant

It is an artificial root which is placed at the location of the lost tooth and which serves as a support for a dental crown, a fixed bridge or a removable prothesis.

– Replacement of 1 tooth with 1 implant

– Replacement of all the teeth with a prothesis held by 4 « press studs » or by a fixed bar on 4 implants
